RLCraft addon

RLCraft Bedrock Edition is a port of the popular Minecraft modpack that plunges you into a fantasy world of dragons and magic. This addon introduces several monumental changes to the base game’s survival mechanics, affecting gameplay at a fundamental level.

Where to Start

When you first load the addon, you will be prompted to choose a difficulty and complete a tutorial. I highly recommend opting for the tutorial; it teaches you the basics of survival and introduces new mechanics like temperature, thirst, skills, trinkets, and the localized body-part health system. 

In RLCraft, you can't simply walk up to a tree and start punching it to get Wood. Early progression begins by finding Gravel to obtain Flint, and harvesting sticks from leaves. Craft a basic Knife to cut grass for fiber, which can then be turned into rope. Bind the flint to a stick to create your first hatchet. Only then will you be able to gather wood.

Improved Progression System 

In RLCraft, you cannot use all the armor, tools, and weapons you find right away. You must have the necessary skills to use them effectively. Earn experience by slaying mobs and gathering ore, then level up your character by investing points into Mining, Combat, Defense, or Agility.

Trinkets are another addition that will make your character stronger. These are magical, wearable artifacts that provide permanent bonuses to strength, speed, and other vital stats.

A World Full of Danger 

My first journeys into this transformed world were a complete disaster. Danger lurks around every corner, and there isn't much you can do about it in the beginning. I originally spawned near some ruins and my first instinct was to scavenge for loot. However, as soon as I stepped inside, a dozen Orcs spawned, and they were not happy about my attempted pillaging.

The second thing I discovered is that escaping mobs is incredibly difficult. Their detection range is high, and since your character’s stamina is low at the start, it is very hard to lose your pursuers. My advice for novices is to move slowly and stay low until you find your footing and obtain at least one proper weapon.

Q: How to install RLCraft?
A: Open the downloaded file to install MCTemplate or put the archive's content into the "world_templates" folder. Start creating a New world. Below the "Create New World" button, you will see marketplace templates featured. On the left, you will see the "Owned by me" section - that's where you will find the RLCraft template.

Q: Where to find dragons?
A: Dragons can be found in different biomes depending on their type. If you defeat the dragon in a fight, you can either slay it for parts or tame it. A tamed dragon can be saddled and ridden.
