Thirst and Temperature addon

If you’re craving a more hardcore and realistic survival system, try the Thirst and Temperature addon. It introduces two new indicators that you’ll need to keep a close eye on. Food in Minecraft is abundant and rarely poses a real challenge to survival, but water can become a serious problem in the Nether and the End, forcing you to plan your supplies carefully. Temperature also varies between biomes, and extreme conditions will require you to keep weather-proof gear prepared in your inventory.

Thermometer

Temperature System

The addon introduces body temperature affected by biomes, weather, and gear. Temperature Bar shows your current body heat.

- Soaked Indicator determines how fast you absorb external temperature (being wet makes you heat/cool faster).
- Burnt Heart appears if you’re overheating — exceeding the limit causes burn damage.
- Frozen Heart shows freezing threshold — if it drops too low, you instantly die.

Creation of temperature-resistant clothes

Hot temperature attire

How to resist temperature:
  • Wear Winter Armor (for cold biomes) or Desert Armor (for hot biomes).
  • Add temperature resistance to armor using Fabric + Sewing Tool at the forging table.
  • Carry a Heated Stone to stay warm (rechargeable in a furnace).
  • Use a Thermometer (Charm Slot, requires Novelty addon) to check the current biome temperature.

Drinking water to replenish thirst

Thirst System

Thirst decreases over time, and it’s influenced by:
  • Temperature (hot biomes drain it faster).
  • Status effects (like poison or hunger).
  • Food consumption (salty/dry foods may make you thirstier).
  • When thirst falls below 3 bars, the player’s screen applies a thirst effect.

Drinking from a river

How to drink water:
  • Punch water directly.
  • Drink from a Water Bottle.
  • Use a Water Flask (filtered water for survival use).
