Java Combat addon
This addon replicates Java Edition's combat system in Minecraft Pocket Edition, fundamentally changing how combat works by introducing timing-based mechanics instead of the rapid-fire combat style typical in Bedrock Edition.
The core feature is the Cooldown system, which requires players to wait between attacks to deal maximum damage. Each weapon has a specific cooldown period - swords take 0.6 seconds while axes take a full second to recharge. This is visually represented by a loading bar that appears below your cursor (or can be positioned on the hotbar), showing when your weapon is ready for another full-power strike. Attacking before the cooldown completes results in reduced damage, making combat more strategic and timing-dependent rather than just button mashing.

The addon also brings several Java Edition combat features to Bedrock, including Sweeping Edge attacks that damage multiple nearby enemies when using a fully charged sword (except during critical hits), dealing 2 points of damage and making it useful for mob farming. Axes now function as they do in Java Edition, dealing higher damage than swords but with longer cooldown times. Additional visual enhancements include sharpness particles, critical hit particles, and shield animations that make combat feel more impactful and visually satisfying.
