Back to Basics addon
Back to Basics introduces tools created to find new uses for some blocks and items in the game. The addon features Sieves, Drying Racks, Mortars, Crushers, and Barrels — some of the most basic survival tools, if you think about it. I like how you can craft them during the early stages of the game, as it provides an essential starter resource boost. But let's talk about how you can utilize those tools.

What the Tools Are Used For
-
Sieves are used to sift through blocks like Dirt, Sand, Gravel, Crushed Deepslate, and Netherrack. The combination of Mesh and Sievetypes defines what blocks you can sift. In the process, you can get items like gems, rocks, food, and ore.
-
Drying Racks are used to dry Kelp and Rotten Flesh in the sun.
-
The Crusher is a useful tool that allows you to crush rocks. For example, you can turn Cobblestone into Gravel, Gravel into Sand, and Netherrack into Crushed Netherrack, preparing them for sifting.
-
Wooden Barrels transform leaves into water, while Stone Barrels create Lava out of Cobblestone. This is probably my favorite feature, as it makes it crazy easy to get those resources.
-
Finally, Mortars are used to create dyes from flower petals and cocoa beans.
This addon reinvents early gameplay with its useful tools, leaving you wondering why they haven't been added into vanilla Minecraft.
