Character Mastery

The Character Mastery addon transforms standard Minecraft Bedrock progression into a hardcore RPG grind. With this mod installed, your overall progression is entirely gated behind character leveling. Starting at level one, you won't even be able to perform basic tasks you're normally used to doing. For instance, you can't mine stone until you reach Mining Mastery level 4, and you can't use a furnace unless you've leveled up your Farming skill.

Early-Game Progression

You begin the game restricted to just three hearts and must earn XP to progress. Given all the restrictions placed on your character at the start, I found that hunting is practically your only viable option for leveling up. Since spears are out of the question at level one, you'll have to make do with a basic wooden sword or axe.

You start earning mastery points once you hit level 5, and after that, you receive one point per level. Be careful, though: losing XP upon death also means losing any unspent mastery points! In total, there are 12 skills you can bring up to level 20, resulting in a staggering 245 total levels to grind through.
