Minced Combat
Minced Combat redefines Bedrock's fighting by introducing unique weapons and swordplay styles. The addon changes the foundations of Minecraft combat by adding Dark Souls-style elements: Stamina, Dodge, Parry, Weapon Stances, and Damage Types.

Stamina is your base resource that will be spent on Weapon Skills, blocking attacks, and dodging. Blocking an attack spends the most stamina, so it's not the most effective way to counter an attack.
To parry a mob's attack, you will need to press block with the right timing. When a mob prepares its thrust, you will see a green circle that signals the parry window. A successful parry spends less stamina and creates a window for a counterattack.
Each weapon has a few skills, which can comprise buffs or some fancy thrusts. For example, the Lance has a powerful charged attack that takes a few seconds to prepare.
When it comes to damage types, there are three:
- Slash,
- Pierce,
- and Blunt.
Depending on the weapon's damage type, it can either deal higher damage but have less impact on the enemy's stamina, or vice versa.
I've experienced quite a few bugs during my sessions. On at least two occasions, the weapons bugged out, and I couldn't use them to attack anymore, but after reloading the world, everything went back to normal. The addon also features tables to tweak the weapons, it seems, but I couldn't get them to work either. Nonetheless, I would say the addon is at least in a playable state.
