Ahoy, all aboard! We're setting sail on an adventure to the high seas in search of treasure and glory! Contrary to expectations, Pirate's Life does not feature rideable big ships or naval warfare. Instead, it focuses on undead pirates, island fortresses, sunken shipwrecks, and hidden treasure.

The Treasure Hunter Career

You won't become a pirate in the traditional sense with pillaging and raiding. When I played the addon, I felt more like a specialized treasure hunter. Most of my time was spent searching for pirate keeps and ocean structures. Once I found one, my goal was to loot everything hidden inside the chests, barrels, and treasure piles.

Occasionally, exploring these structures will trigger an event, summoning waves of undead pirate mobs that you'll have to fight off!

The Treasure Trader is a new NPC who will gladly trade for all the loot you've amassed in your inventory.

Pirate's Life also features dynamic world events, such as Pirate Invasions, where groups of pirates storm the coastline on raiding boats. As a reward for dealing with the pirate threat, you can acquire unique themed equipment like the Undead Saber, Plunder Bow, and Iron Trident.
