Unearthed — archeology expansion
Hunt for treasures concealed in the earth with Unearth – an archaeology expansion mod for Bedrock. You can feel just like Indiana Jones, a treasure hunter digging up humanity's rarest artifacts, with only a shovel and brush as your tools. Deserts, Mesas, and Oceanic biomes become true hubs for adventurers, with ruins brought to the surface across these lands. Take your brush and search for Suspicious Sand or Suspicious Gravel, then sweep away the dirt to uncover ancient artifacts. Collected artifacts can be studied to gain experience and sold to the Archaeologist, creating a satisfying gameplay loop.
On your treasure-hunting quest, you may also encounter new enemies such as the Ghastly Mariner, Pirates, and even a boss called the Crusher.

Here's what to do
- Travel to Deserts, Mesas, or Oceans to find ruins, temples, ships, or suspicious blocks. Look for Suspicious Sand and Suspicious Gravel – these hide artifacts.
- Use a shovel to dig suspicious blocks. Sweep with a brush to carefully extract relics instead of breaking them.
- Collect worn relics. You’ll mostly find Worn Items (weapons, helmets, cups, anchors). Some may be cursed – you’ll notice strange debuffs.
- Craft or locate an Archaeologist’s Table. Place your worn relics inside to restore them into powerful items.
- Meet the Archaeologist NPC or the Ghastly Captain (pirate trader). Restored relics can be sold for emeralds, or kept for personal use.
- Watch out for new mobs: Pirates on ships and piers. Gear up before raiding deeper structures.
- Use a Sextant to locate hidden ocean ruins. Defeat the Ghastly Crew, collect loot, and restore legendary relics like the Holy Grail.
- Decorate with Pearlescent Bricks from ocean ruins. Place restored relics (like Anchors and Grails) as trophies in your base.
