Cataclysmic addon
Something Cataclysmic has happened, giving rise to strange tower-like structures above ground that hide many secrets. On the surface, they may look like simple towers, but inside you’ll discover they descend deep underground, forming sprawling dungeons. There are several types of these structures: one can spawn in forests, another in caves, and even one in the Nether. You’ll also come across crystal islands floating in the skies, inhabited by jellyfish-like creatures—basically aliens. But those aren’t the only new mobs; many more creatures are introduced, some of which could even be considered mini-bosses.
I encountered one such foe in a dark, green, rocky dungeon. The corridors were crawling with otherworldly skeletons, and when I turned a corner, I stumbled upon a massive creature that looked like a walking slab of stone. I didn’t want to test my luck, so I ran.

I’m also a fan of the armor sets and the wide variety of weapons—some of them way over-the-top, like huge swords, hammers, and axes. They’re far larger than vanilla Minecraft gear, but that just makes them cooler. I even found a magical weapon that fired glowing skulls as projectiles. Still, I won’t spoil everything—some surprises are best discovered on your own.

Killing Elemental mobs increases your Terror level. With each level, mobs deal one extra point of damage. The maximum Terror level is five, after which it resets. There are also ways to counter Terror, such as using magic amulets. This Lovecraft-inspired mechanic adds extra tension and variety to dungeon exploration.
