Origins addon
Сhoose from over 30 unique races with the Origins Bedrock Edition addon, each with distinct abilities and drawbacks that fundamentally change how you play.
Instead of playing as a regular human, you select an "origin" - essentially a fantasy race or creature type - that comes with 4-8 special traits. These traits include both powerful abilities and balancing limitations that create entirely different gameplay experiences. For example, the Avian can glide and moves faster but can't eat meat and needs to sleep at high altitudes, while the Enderian can teleport and has extra health but takes damage from water.

The addon includes Base Origins (like Arachnid, Elytrian, Feline), Weird People Origins (Duck, Troll, Llama), Extra Origins (Fox, Cow, Dire Wolf), and many community-created ones. Each origin is carefully balanced - powerful abilities come with significant drawbacks. The Phantom can turn invisible and phase through walls, but burns in daylight and has reduced health.
Most origins use "Primary Power" and "Secondary Power" items to activate special abilities with cooldowns. Many have inventory expansions (like Shulk's extra 9 slots that persist after death), unique movement abilities (climbing walls, swimming faster, jumping higher), dietary restrictions (carnivore, vegetarian, or exotic diets), and environmental preferences or vulnerabilities.
The addon includes an Orb of Origin that allows players to change their race later in the game, and there's an active community creating custom origins through Discord servers with documentation for making your own races.
