Progressive Mobs addon
Minecraft often gets easier the longer you play—but the Progressive Mobs addon changes that by increasing mob difficulty as you advance through the game.
As you reach certain milestones, mobs will begin to spawn with better weapons, armor, and even rare items like Totems of Undying. This keeps the game challenging, especially during the late game when things usually start to feel too easy.

Mob difficulty levels
- Starting off – Mobs spawn mostly as in vanilla, but skeletons have fewer bows, and zombies may carry wood/stone weapons.
- Post Iron (Triggered by mining iron) – Mobs can now spawn with chainmail, iron gear, and special items. Spiders have a higher chance of spawning with weaving abilities.
- Nether (Triggered by entering the Nether) – Mobs occasionally get potion buffs and iron tools. Zombies may apply potion effects when attacking.
- Eye of Ender crafting (Triggered by crafting an Eye of Ender) – Mobs can now rarely have diamond tools, commonly use iron, and have increased potion buffs. Some may spawn with Totems of Undying in their offhand.
- Ender Dragon defeat – Mobs frequently spawn with diamond/iron weapons and armor. Offhand Totems of Undying become more common.
