What defines a zombie at its core? They're ordinary people transformed by viral infection. Logically, you'll encounter the infected wearing their former lives—medical personnel, law enforcement, and civilians frozen in their final moments. For enthusiasts of authentic zombie representation, the DayZ Apocalypse addon delivers this immersive experience with remarkable detail.
Your goal is to vaccinate infected survivors to create a thriving community of immune humans (i.e., Villagers), passing immunity down to their children.
It’s a multi-step, immersive process that simulates real-world science:
The vaccination of survivors is a quest of its own, and it won't be an easy one. First, you'll need to earn the survivors' trust; you need 1,500 Survival Points accumulated to start vaccination. Even with the points, they can still refuse to be vaccinated—persistence pays off. Once vaccinated, you can invite them to your base.
When a male and female survivor settle in, you’ll know she's pregnant when you speak to her at night. Soon, a new immune baby will be born and grow into a full Villager—in time, you can trade with them just like normal Villagers.
Your journey will lead you through countless abandoned structures—silent monuments to humanity's former presence, now overrun by the undead. Though fraught with danger, clearing these infested buildings often yields crucial survival supplies that justify the risk.
Beyond hunger, thirst becomes another critical survival factor. The human body requires regular hydration to function properly. Quench your thirst with river water, fizzy beverages, or energy drinks found throughout the wasteland.

- Collect Zombie Hearts by slaying zombies.
- Beakers & Glass Vials: Craft these basic lab tools first.
- Turn a rotting apple and sugar into yeast.
- Brew the ethanol and separate it into individual vials.
- Use a solar-powered Blender to extract blood from the Zombie Heart.
- Collect the blood into beakers and split it into vials.
- Gather and dry out Nether Wart.
- Mix dried wart with ethanol to create a Nether Wart Solution.
- Combine Zombie Blood with Nether Wart Solution.
- Use a solar-powered Vortex Mixer to complete the vaccine.
- You now have the CDCKG85 Zombie Vaccine.

- A Structure Pack has been added so players can choose if they would like the Structures or not.
- Increased the generation of most Structures.
- Brown Campsite will now generate in all Biomes.
- Grey Campsite will now generate in all Biomes.
- Church will now generate in all Biomes.
- Cottage will now generate in all Biomes.
- Greenhouses will now generate in Forest Biomes as well.
