Where did my Minecraft add-ons go?
The latest Minecraft Bedrock PC update 1.21.120 broke all our add-ons and resource packs, and we've got problems reinstalling them, but there is a fix.
Mojang apparently changed the location of the game's folder and broke everything with it. The good news is that there is a temporary fix, but it's working poorly.
You can find the new behavior and resource pack folders here:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Minecraft Bedrock\Users\Shared\games\com.mojang
Your worlds and skin packs are in a different location:
C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming\Minecraft Bedrock\Users\RANDOM_NUMBERS\games\com.mojang
It appears that the folder change broke something, and .mcpacks are not installing temporarily. The first fix would be to install them manually, moving your existing resource packs from the old folder to the new one.
If you want to install something new, though, you will either have to unzip the archive and move the resource pack manually, or I've also noticed that if you open the .mcpack when the game is closed, it will actually open the game and install it, but only the first one, so it requires you to close the game and open another .mcpack to install that one too.
