Silent Hill addon

Silent Hill is a popular horror game series that is now making its way into Minecraft Bedrock. The most recognizable part of the franchise, aside from the town, is probably its monsters. It features many iconic creatures like Nurses and Pyramid Head that are known well beyond the SH community.

This addon focuses particularly on adding monsters. Since the franchise spans many years and games, there's plenty of content available for future updates. As of now, the addon features around two dozen monsters. No guns are included, so you'll have to figure out how to deal with them yourself.

Tips Before You Dive into the Horror

The developer claims this addon should feature fog by default, but I didn't see any in my world. Luckily, you can manually trigger fog in Minecraft via commands. Example: /fog @s push minecraft:fog_default test:fog

I also recommend using a texture pack to create a more depressing, atmospheric vibe — for a Silent Hill inspired experience.

My Thoughts on the Addon

It's a decent horror addon that adds creepy creatures to the world. Does it successfully translate the survival horror experience into Minecraft? Barely. It feels more like the vanilla game with new hostile mobs thrown in. However, this addon is definitely made for fans of Silent Hill and the psychological horror genre.
