Dynamic Lights addon
Dynamic Lights is an addon that changes how light emission works in Minecraft PE. In the vanilla game, light emission is an exclusive feature of a limited number of blocks, and it works only with the already placed blocks. With Dynamic Lights, all of those items, plus many more new ones, will emit light even on the go when you’re holding them.

Here you can see how the radius of the light emission changes depending on the distance of the light source from the surface. The light is dispersed in a conical shape, making it weaker the further away it is from the surface.

The addon lets you hold torches in your off-hand, giving you constant light while you do other tasks.

Some resource packs already include features similar to the Dynamic Lights addon, for instance, RealismCraft has its own built-in implementation.

All light-emitting items and blocks will glow even when thrown on the ground. You can use this feature to check out the depth of the shaft or a chasm by throwing a light-emitting object in there.
Q: Does it work on servers?
A: Some servers may block the addon, but it works in singleplayer and realms.
Q: Does it reduce FPS?
A: On modern devices, performance impact is minimal. Older phones may experience small drops.
Q: Does it work with shaders?
A: It does work with shaders and with Vibrant Visuals, too.
