Dinosaurs — prehistoric animals
Dinosaurs dominated the Earth for millions of years; now, these prehistoric animals have returned to reign over your Minecraft world. Conditions on the planet were once such that every animal could grow much larger.
The mighty Brachiosaurus could reach up to 60 feet in length and weigh several tons — all while remaining a vegetarian. But don't get caught staring for too long, because many dangerous carnivorous species roam the Earth as well and will prey on you in-game. A Tarbosaurus will take any opportunity to pounce on a dinosaur or player it can catch. However, as a clever human, you can adapt and become the hunter yourself. Dinosaur parts are highly valuable and are used to craft armor and weapons — Monster Hunter style.

The mod also modifies world generation by introducing plants in an attempt to create a prehistoric vibe. While the added vegetation is subtle, it is enough to make biomes like the Jungle look a bit alien. Dinosaurs inhabit the land, oceans, and air, with a total of 54 species included. I can't speak to their historical accuracy — some look just like the pictures in books, while others were clearly designed with some creative liberty from the author.
