Rick's Portals

Rick's Portals is a Bedrock addon inspired by the popular animated show that brings functional portal guns into Minecraft! Grab a lab coat and put on your crazy scientist wig, because we're going on an interdimensional adventure!

Portal guns allow you to create linked pairs of portals to travel instantly across distances. You can even set up more than 10 active portal pairs simultaneously. By placing them strategically, you can travel across the world in seconds or easily trick and outmaneuver enemies.

How I Use Them

Here are three of my favorite ways to utilize portal guns in survival:

  1. Central Travel Hub: Set up a dedicated portal room at your main base with instant access to the Nether, the End, and distant points of interest.

  2. Villager Transportation: Effortlessly relocate villagers directly to your base, making it incredibly easy to set up a trading hall.

  3. Combat & Traps: Instantly teleport dangerous mobs away into hazards, deep lava pits, or the bottom of the ocean.

Range & Gun Modes

Portal guns have a max range and projectile falloff, meaning you can't shoot them infinitely far away (as shown in my screenshots).

By default, each gun opens only one pair of portals at a time. However, if you Crouch + Tap, you'll open a settings menu to switch modes. Enabling Multi-Pair Mode allows a single gun to manage up to ten distinct portal pairs at once!

Variants & Fuel

The addon features several gun variants, which generate different colored portals (green, blue, yellow) to help keep your transportation network organized. Keep in mind that using these portal guns isn't free: you'll need to craft custom fuel to keep them powered!
