Medieval Knights addon

This addon is designed for players who love medieval aesthetics and desire a fresh take on gear progression. It leans heavily into the historical reenactment aspect of the middle ages without fundamentally altering the core vanilla gameplay.

Armor Crafting

The Armor & Gear Progression

Historically, medieval plate armor consisted of dozens of separate parts, with designs varying wildly depending on where they were forged. While this addon doesn't force you to craft every single joint and rivet, it does add several logical steps to the armorsmithing process.

To forge your gear, you’ll need new intermediate ingredients:

  • Leather Straps

  • Steel Plates

  • Woolen Cloth

Interestingly, steel in this mod isn't treated as a complex alloy; instead, it's created by hardening Iron Ingots in a furnace. These extra steps make the final product feel much more earned than standard vanilla sets.

Donning historically accurate sets — from Knights and Templars to Samurai and Winged Hussars was a fun experience. Beyond looking "badass," these sets provide practical benefits like increased knockback resistance and superior damage reduction.

Weapons & Combat

A medieval battlefield wouldn't be complete without katanas, polearms, morningstars, lances, and claymores. While the addon doesn't overhaul the "click-spam" nature of Bedrock combat, it does introduce increased reach for certain long-form weapons, which has a noticeable effect on how you space yourself during a fight.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
Historically accurate armor models. Very few changes to actual gameplay mechanics.
Immersive crafting that isn't overly complex. Wearing a visor has no effect on the player's HUD/view.
Dozens of unique medieval weapons to choose from. Weapons lack a "feeling of weight" or custom swing speed.
